Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born on July 8, 1989 in Paris. They relocated to Oxfordshire at the age of five and enrolled in at the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she made the decision to be an actor. She trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. At the age of ten the actress took part in and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theater instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were selected as the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first cinematic appearance was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It broke all records in the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. Critics were impressed with the performance of the film as well as its story. The widely distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performance admirable. Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as the most outstanding young actor in a feature Film. The actress was nominated five times for her role in the movie.
